Subject: another way

I had to go back to taking antidepressants for anxiety. It seems that I cannot come off them because I am dependent on them. If I come off them a few months later something little can send me into a severe depression which I have never experienced before taking antidepressants. Is it possible that the medication caused me to have depression problems? Like I said, I never used to get depressed. It was really only my anxiety. Yes sometimes I would get upset and feel down, but NEVER depressed like now. I wish there was another way to deal with my anxiety problems, and now depression problems, other that taking antidepressants. They have just cause so much damage to my body and mind. Is there another way?

well things have improved. I went to the doctor and they prescribed me zoloft (because its cheap and I cant afford anything else) . I am just so scared of the side effects. I dont want to gain weight and be sleeping all the time like what happened on paxil and later on effexor. Effexor helped but later i felt tired all the time and gained weight. I guess we will see what happens.

I just cannot stop thinking and worrying about whats going on in my life. I have had to drop out of school for the second time and often wonder what my future will be like. Will my mental issues control me forever? I cry a lot. I worry a lot. I have a lot of tension in my eyes and my body and need to exercise or do something to relieve it. I cannot focus and my mind often wonders. I seem worse that before I ever took meds. I often wonder if the meds have caused me to be worse and now I have to be dependent on them. Will I be on meds forever? What can I do? What will become of me? I am scared to go back on meds because of the side effects. I gained weight and was always tired. Its so hard right now...

I have just completed and now released a novel on dealing with depression. It is called a "A Better Way"  It is available for purchase at 1-800-788-7654. It is something that if your depressed or know someone that is it may be helpful. The price is only $10.00. It is not my intention to be on this site just to promote my book. I really want to help and give support to people. If anyone wants to talk, I am willing to listen.

Thanks,

Al Stanley
